Bigger and brighter than ever, the first digitally produced edition of An Colmánach appeared in 2012. Back after a number of years absence, it was felt that it would be nice for our students to have a record of their time in St Colman’s and that some of their memories could be stored in a school annual. It also gave a chance to showcase some of the school activities and display some of the students’ talents. The usual mix of articles included sport, achievements, creative writing, awards night, history articles, extra curricullar, past pupil interview and of course, the ever popular Colmanach diary. This year also saw the introduction of pen pictures of all the staff and class photos of all students to make the annual truly inclusive. Mr. Dermot Coakley, Principal, who wrote the introduction, expressed his thanks in to all those who gave their time and effort in helping get the project off the ground. The book was very professionally produced in-house by the ICT department and outsourced to Fermoy Print for final printing and binding. The venture proved to be a tremendous success with very high percentage sales and widespread support from the local business community. The 2012 editorial team consisted of Barry Pierce, Darragh Healy, Coran Lawlor, Colin Scott, Andrew Beirne, Ed Mullins, Cormac Mulcahy, Tom Keane, Darragh O’Callaghan Contributors and columnists included Michael Bourke, Trevor Franks, Andrew O’Sullivan, John Tobin, Adam Mulcahy and the editor was Andrew O’Sullivan.
