The first An Colmánach of the modern age, the 1961 edition was compiled and produced under the aegis of the Past Pupils’ Union. Published in March 1961, it consisted of 100 page book made up of articles on various aspects of school life and personalities associated with St. Colman’s College over its first 100 years. The College celebrated its 100th anniversary some three years previously.
The articles were written by past pupils. Rev. Robert Forde contributed an article on the history of the College. Likewise an article on Archbishop Croke by P. Ó Murchú; An t-Athair Peadar by an t- Athair T. Ó Gallachobhair. There are other very well written contributions as well.
